San Jose crash data can help explain patterns in a defined place and time. A high count does not automatically show the greatest risk per trip or prove fault in a specific crash.

## What the San Jose crash dataset includes

The City’s Vision Zero program is a starting source for safety corridors and killed-or-severely-injured data. SWITRS and TIMS datasets can answer other questions. Their coverage, geography, definitions, and release dates must be documented before a comparison is published.

## How crash counts differ from crash risk

This edition does not publish an original danger ranking or a new crash map. Until the analysis is complete, use the official data links below. The planned study will report its date window, missing data, deduplication, and geographic limits beside any result.

## Download the data and review the method

For a useful review, keep the following information together. You do not need to enter it on this website.

- The agency and date window behind the dataset.
- The difference between crash counts, severity, and exposure.
- Any gaps or uncertainty stated with the result.
