# San Jose Speed Cameras: Locations and Rollout Status

San Jose’s speed-camera rollout should be described using the latest City notice. A planned date is different from a confirmed operational status.

## San Jose speed-camera warning and citation status

The City’s October 23, 2026 release says warnings are planned to begin December 14 and citations in early 2027. That release does not establish the precise February date quoted in some summaries. Check the official program page for changes before relying on an operational detail.

## Camera locations by council district

A speed-camera record also has limits as evidence. Do not assume every traffic camera records video or identifies the person driving. This edition links to the official location information rather than presenting an unverified camera table as complete.
